The Chrome web browser comes with the ability to block pop-ups as you browse the web. In fact, this feature is already enabled when you start using Chrome. We love that web browsers are acknowledging how annoying pop-ups are. Yet, your browser’s built-in pop-up blocker doesn’t remove all annoying ads across the web.

When you use an ad blocker like AdBlock in conjunction with Chrome, you’re able to block even more distractions and take back control of your web browsing experience.

Use AdBlock to Block More Pop-ups

Using your browser’s built-in pop-up blocker feature won’t block all the distractions you’ll encounter on the web. If you’re serious about removing ads, you may want to use a pop-up blocker like AdBlock for Chrome.

To start blocking pop-ups with AdBlock:

  1. Install AdBlock by visiting getadblock.com from your Chrome browser.
  2. …and that’s it! You’re now blocking even more ads and pop-ups.

AdBlock can also disable some third-party tracking that advertisers use to collect your personal data for targeted advertising. And it can even block YouTube ads!

Block More Distractions with AdBlock Premium

As the internet evolves, so do online distractions. Traditional pop-ups aren’t the only annoyances across the web anymore. Today, there are also things like floating videos, newsletter surveys, and survey requests.

With AdBlock Premium, you’re able to block these distractions and more.

AdBlock Premium gives you the ability to:

  • Block floating videos (the “sticky” videos that float on your screen and follow you as you browse).
  • Block newsletter pop-ups, survey requests, and allow site notifications.
  • Further customize your settings with Themes and Dark Mode.
  • Image swap ads for things you love so that you see pictures of puppies, kittens, nature, or your own images instead of ads.

To access these features, you’ll want to subscribe to AdBlock Premium. If you haven’t already, first install AdBlock. Then choose your subscription and upgrade to AdBlock Premium.

While Chrome’s built-in pop-up blocker comes in handy, you’ll block even more distractions as you browse the web when you install AdBlock for Chrome. Simply head to getadblock.com from your Chrome browser to get started! And let us know if you have any questions at help@getadblock.com.
